Rev. Rich Robinson
Senior Chaplain | Executive Director
Chaplain Rich Robinson serves as the Executive Director of Crisis Chaplaincy, where he serves with a diverse multi-faith team of crisis and community chaplains to over 50 first responder agencies in the South Carolina Lowcountry. His experience includes serving as a Charleston City police officer and defensive tactics instructor, a United Methodist Church pastor, and the president of the SC Public Safety Chaplains Association.
Rich’s deep love for first responders has called him to “serve our servants” through wellness support and Critical Incident Stress Management care. Rich has a passion for nurturing chaplains through the Chaplains Academy, serving as a credentialed Master Chaplain and instructor through the International Conference of Police Chaplains, and teaching Pastoral Crisis Intervention I&II through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. Rich is an ordained priest in the Lindisfarne Community. a graduate of Ashford University with a BA in Organizational Management, and lives in Summerville with his two children and lovely wife, Jo-Dee.
